  • In the main event of an eight bout amateur and professional card at Santander Arena in Reading, Pennsylvania, World Boxing Association number ten ranked worldwide heavyweight contender Travis Kauffman knocked out last minute substitute Jason Barnett in the first round. Kauffman, 27-1, 20 knockouts, decked Barnett twice coming forward with power body shots, then trapped Barnett in a corner and knocked Barnett down and out with body shots. Time: 2:09 of the first round. Barnett fortunately was not injured, and stated after the bout he might have put on a better performance and had a better chance if he had been given a full training camp instead of short notice to take this bout.
