Costantino dominated Pirrone from the start, and had him badly cut over his right eye early in the fight, nearly prompting a stoppage in the 3rd round. Costantino staggered Pirrone in the 4th and 7th rounds. In the 9th round, Costantino knocked out Pirrone with a left-right to the stomach, followed by a left hook to the jaw.
