• Mino was a late substitute for Great Britain's Nathan Cleverly, who backed out of the bout.

• The 20-0 padded record of the short and chubby Mino got exposed by world class Makabu quickly. Mino swung wide with punches during the bout, never penetrated Makabu's high glove defenses.
