- In a six round technical battle between Pennsylvania welterweights, 3-3 Evincii Dixon bested 3-4 Rafael Montalvo by virtue of a fourth round flash knockdown near the bell which created a 10-8 round on two scorecards and gave Dixon the bout. One judge had a strange scorecard 60-55 giving Montalvo 10 points for all ten rounds, an impossibility considering Dixon scored the legitimate knockdown and had won the fourth round, an after fact which puzzled even referee Gary Rosato. Nonetheless both fighters demonstrated good sportsmanship after the bout. Dixon had height and reach advantage, and did a better job in the second half of the bout keep the swarming Montalvo, who was fighting to get inside, at arm's distance as Dixon scored with frequent straight jabs and kept moving. Very competitive bout on the Santander Arena undercard in Reading, Pennsylvania on a amateur and professional card, longest of the night.
