• In a junior welterweight battle, the shorter Cepeda clearly outworked the taller Santelises on the inside in rounds two, three and four to win the bout. Cepeda had Santelises in trouble from the second round on with power shots to the head which scored, but Santelises managed to hold on and survive and work his way back, though he wasn't landing his counter attempts and his punches lacked power.
