• On ESPN Friday Night Fights, Taylor, ranked fourth by the International Boxing Federation at 140 pounds, for the most part could not crack Algeri's defense. Now 19-0, Algeri came forward and cut off the ring, and mixed punches well with a mix of jabs and hooks to the head and body which kept Taylor off balance. Algeri won at least seven of the ten rounds, and appeared worthy of an even higher level of opposition.
