  • In a light heavyweight bout on the undercard of the final boxing event at historic Roseland Ballroom, Gbenga was leaning with his head and caused a headbutt which cut Peterkin over the left eye in the fourth round. Gbenga was penalized one point in the round by referee Eddie Cotton for charging Peterkin with his head to do more damage. Peterkin answered by hitting Gbernga behind the head whenever Gbenga came in low with his head to butt again. Gbenga held on for dear life just to survive late in this fight. Gbenga, clearing trying to butt and caused damage to Peterkin, appeared worthy of disqualification due to his 'tactics', managed to somehow go the distance.
