- Cruz staggered Reyes across the ring with an overhand power shot early in round one for a 10-8 round. Reyes went flying across the ring and through the ropes for an official knockdown. Reyes was able to continue and was unhurt. The bout was hard fought. It appeared Reyes outboxed Cruz, but the rounds were extremely close and hard fought and somewhat difficult to score. Toughest bout for Cruz thusfar. Middleweight prospect Thomas 'Cornflake' LaManna was in the corner of Reyes.
