The Pittsburgh Post reported that "this is the first time Houck has been defeated so decisively in his home town. The fight belonged to Harry every second." Greb peppered Houck until he was dazed. Houck was in top shape, but Greb tore through his guard and rendered Leo's vaunted left useless. Houck's beat punch was a right to the body in the fourth, but it was just a flash. Greb pitched and Houck caught.

The Lancaster Daily Intelligencer gave every round to Greb, and noted that they appeared even in weight. "Every round was won by the visitor. He danced Houck into bewilderment and then either pecked his guard open with a right or left and jabbed him to a corner. He beat him going and coming and not once during the entire fight did the Lancaster fighter get set to throw one over."
