Harry Greb beat Terry Kellar by PTS in round 15 of 15

  • Date: 1919-08-11
  • Location: Highland Park, Dayton, Ohio, USA
  • According to the Dayton Journal: "Sending Kellar against Greb is just like putting a ten-ton truck against Ralph DePalma's Packard special. Kellar was just in there to take a lacing. He made no effort to fight...His attack was about as dangerous as a mosquito's would be against the hide of an elephant. "From the first round on it was all the same. It required but a few seconds in the opening stanza for Greb to demonstrate his superiority..Terry must have thought every bug in the crowd was heaving gloves at him..Several times Greb seemed to have Kellar on the verge of a knockout. Yet when he did have Kellar reeling around the ring, Greb did not appear anxious to finish the job, for he always allowed Kellar to stagger away without following him up."
