Georgie Benton, 154, upset Holley Mims, 156 1/2, by unanimous decision before 2,152 fans. Judges Lou Tress and Jack Styles voted 4-3-1, and referee Pete Tomasco 6-1-1 for Benton. Benton started with looping left hooks but found trouble landing the same blows in the second round. In the fourth, Mims twice jolted Benton with solid rights to the head.
