Umberto Savigne 175 lbs beat Jeff Lacy 173 lbs by TKO at 2:04 in round 2 of 10
- Date: 2014-07-10
- Location: American Airlines Arena, Miami, Florida, USA
- Referee: Samuel Burgos
- Judge: Alex Levin
- Judge: Bill Ray
- Judge: Rocky Young
- Former Cuban amateur champion Savigne landed straight jabs and a power overhand right in both rounds, wobbling Lacy, who did not produce an offense.
- Savigne knocked down Lacy late in the first. Lacy got up, and subsequently slipped to the canvas, ruled no knockdown.
- Savigne walked down Lacy in the second round, trapped him in a corner, and landed his overhand right and hard jabs on a defenseless Lacy, forcing the stoppage.
- Lacy complained about blows to the back of the head landed by Savigne in both rounds, but there was no warning or penalty.
- The comebacking Lacy, a longtime super middleweight champion and always a world class fighter at 168 pounds in performance and result, continued to appear ineffective fighting too heavy in the wrong 175 pound division.
