- Day knocked down Jackson in the first, then Day somehow 'got caught' with a short punch inside for a flash knockdown, during a first round slugfest. Jackson was standing in front of Day and not moving when round two began, whereupon Day gave him a good beating with head and body shots, and the referee stopped it immediately in the second round after Day knocked down Jackson again. Despite Day going down, this was not a close bout.
