- Williams, hard punching and powerful, continued moving forward with pressure and frequently cut off the ring. Jones was in shape and tried hard to fight back with some good counter power shots on occasion, but frequently got caught by Williams in one of the corners on the ropes and took a beating there. Williams knocked down Jones in the same spot in the second round and three times in the third round. On the third knockdown, Jones who was on all fours, knocked out.
