Fontaine was knocked down by a right hand to the head for a seven-count in the 5th round. After he rose, Fontaine was floored again by a right hand cleanly to the jaw. The bell rang at the count of five, and Fontaine was drug to his corner. Fontaine was stunned by another right hand that sent him staggering around the ring, at this point the bout was halted.
