Randy Easton 235 lbs beat Antwaun Tubbs 202 lbs by TKO at 2:20 in round 4 of 4

  • Time of stoppage: 2:20 of round four
  • In the preliminary bout to the main event at Eagle's Club, Taylor, the son of former world heavyweight champion Tony Tubbs, won the first three rounds sticking, jabbing and moving against bigger but slow Pennsylvania journeyman heavyweight Randy Easton. Entering the fourth round, Taylor had the bout won on points. In the fourth round, Taylor, not listening to his corner, stood in front of Easton and tried to slug it out. The bigger Easton knocked the smaller Taylor through the ropes three times, causing two standing eight counts and finally the stoppage. After the bout, the smaller Taylor admitted he weighed in with his clothes to come in at heavyweight for the bout in the wrong division. Taylor appeared too small for that weight class and in actuality looked more a light heavyweight or lighter cruiserweight. Tubbs said his son would fight again, but not again at heavyweight.
