• In a brief bout featured on YouTube, Briggs pushed Petranyi to the floor, and then lost a point for threatening to hit Petranyi while he was on the canvas, but he was stopped by the referee. Petranyi slipped to the floor, got up, got knocked down and got up. Petranyi was counted out on the second knockdown after a power body shot. After the bout, former World Cruiserweight champion Guillermo Jones of Panama called out Briggs in the ring for an immediate match, who stated he would give Jones a world title shot after Briggs beat Wladimir Klitschko for ten million dollars.
