• Despite the scoring, this was a hard fought highly competitive jab counter jab bout, fought in center ring, the co-main event of a nine bout card at Resorts World Casino at Aqueduct Raceway promoted by New Legend Boxing. Tejada appeared to win rounds three and four with crisp body shots to Nieves' side. When Nieves knocked down Tejada for a flash knockdown in round six, the win by Nieves on the cards was clear at that point.
