"Loughran won because he bewildered the crude Jewish slugger during the first four rounds, displaying much of the old-time Loughran battle, and had enough strength left to withstand the King's bull-like rushes in the rounds that followed. At times the Irishman was the old boxing master of days gone by,. And even the desperate charges by the Kingfish couldn't slow the beating of the fighting heart that's Loughran's. One would have to go back to the Jimmy Braddock fight of four years ago to find an opponent whom Loughran has had so completely bewildered as he did the Kingfish. Although Levinsky connected with many a swing, his average was poor -- about one in six and that may be giving the visitor a bit of the best of it."
