• Main event of Dmitriy Salita's Star of David Promotions seven bout card at Long Island University Brooklyn's historic Paramount Theatre, scheduled to undergo extensive 24 month renovation to become the number two downtown Brooklyn entertainment venue after Barclays Center.

• In a main event laugher, the shorter McCreary, 41, dashed across the ring and unloaded on tall prospect Miller for two minutes, with Miller on the ropes. McCreary was unable to move Miller, to the extent he hit Miller so hard, McCreary finally fell over backwards in a somersault on his head! Miller, unmoving and unappreciative, then decked the aging McCreary twice with power body shots, who beat the count twice and barely survived the first round. In the second round, Miller finished McCreary in a corner, beating him senseless, till McCreary slumped through the bottom ropes, falling through helpless and defenseless in a sitting position, down and out, prompting the stoppage by referee Steve Willis. Complete mismatch. McCreary did however try and threw punches in both rounds.

• Celebrities in attendance at LIU Brooklyn's Paramount Theater included trainer John Scully, Junior Jones, Paul Malignaggi, 2014 Golden Gloves champion Chris Colbert and HBO commentator Harold Lederman. Malignaggi stated at ringside a sparring injury had forced cancellation of his match with Danny O'Connor, but he hoped to be back in action soon.
