• Middleweight Alicia Napoleon chased Latasha Burton in the first round. The taller Burton tried to use her size and legs to stay out of Napoleon's range. In round two, Napoleon begin to time Burton with overhand rights and counter rights to the head which began to take away her steam. In round three, Napoleon was connected with overhand rights with perfect timing almost at will, forcing Burton to hold as the tiring Burton could no longer run. Furious pace set by Napoleon. Battered and beaten after surviving round three, Burton gave up on her stool after the round ended, unable to continue. There was a wide gap in ability between the BoxRec worldwide ranked number four female middleweight Napoleon and the number eight world ranked Burton. Not a close bout.
