• Chakhkiev expended his energy landing energetic combinations to win the first two rounds, and cut Afolabi on the left eye with what was ruled an accidental headbutt. Afolabi came on offensively from that point. Afolabi dropped Chakhkiev with a right hand combined with a push, which was ruled no knockdown by referee Grzegorz Molenda. Afolabi then landed a left hand followed by a short power right hand which dropped Chakhkiev for the count.[[1]]
