Winslow was down from a left to the stomach in the 7th round, for an eight-count. Just before the 7th round ended, he was floored again by a series of head shots. Winslow appeared fresh to begin the 8th round, as he landed a few right hands, but a left to the body put him down again, and he was counted out. Winslow had substituted for Eusebio Hernandez who was unable to appear due to immigration issues coming from Mexico.
