Savage was trailing in the 3rd round, when he dropped Seaman with a right cross to the jaw for a no-count knockdown. Seaman was fighting gamely in the 4th round, when another right cross floored him for an eight-count. Upon rising, Seaman was wobbly and another punch to the jaw sent him through the ropes, where he took a two-count just before the bell. In the 5th round, another right to the jaw droppped Seaman for another eight-count. Seaman took a pasting upon rising, and the bout was halted.
