Terry McGovern drew with Jimmy Britt by NWS in round 10 of 10
- Date: 1906-05-28
- Location: Madison Square Garden, New York, New York, USA
- Referee: Tim Hurst
- Wire report: [1]
According to the New York Times, May 29, p. 4, there were three preliminaries: two four-rounders and a six-rounder. This article also mentioned that the Horton Law had been repealed in 1898 (not 1900), and since then there had been three-round contests held, then the occasional four-rounder. With this scheduled ten-rounder, police decided to test the law, Section 458, which made it a misdemeanor "for any person to engage in, promote or encourage a boxing contest at which admission is charged."
