Mike Dundee 130 lbs drew with Bobby Garcia 130 lbs by PTS in round 12 of 12

  • Date: 1928-02-07
  • Location: Memorial Hall, Dayton, Ohio, USA
  • Referee: Lefty Pretsch

Dundee knocked Garcia down once in each of the first three rounds. Dundee took five of the first seven rounds, according to the Dayton Herald, before Garcia staged what they described as "one of the greatest comebacks staged in a local ring." Dundee appeared to tire from his early efforts to stop Garcia, and was battered to the body by Garcia in the middle rounds. Garcia was able to crowd Dundee over the last three rounds, and pound him inside, as Dundee was reduced to a defensive posture.

Garcia's opponent was reported by Self-Defense Sporting Annual 1929, p. 62, as being Jackie Feldman, and the bout occurring at Pontiac, Michigan. But Feldman was fighting Tommy Meekins at Pontiac and Dundee drew with Garcia at Dayton according to other contemporary sources.
