- It took five rounds for the shorter Cruz, who fought hard to get inside, to start to land crisp body shots with pinpoint accuracy and begin to break down Green. Cruz landed some terrific head shots which had Green hanging on at various points for dear life to survive until he could clear his head. The end finally came in round seven, when Cruz dropped a weary Green, who beat the count on unsteady legs. Green tried hard to hold and survive, but another head punch combination from Cruz sent Green down-and out-ending the contest.
