Krzysztof Zimnoch 220 lbs lost to Mike Mollo 242 lbs by KO at 2:08 in round 1 of 10

  • Video clip of the knockout from ringside on YouTube [[1]]
  • In Mike Mollo's most recent three bouts, his opponents had a combined 45-0-1. His two bouts with Artur Szpilka were hard fought wars. Zimnoch opponents were not at main event level except Oliver McCall.
  • The 36 year old ex-heavyweight contender Mike Mollo's first win in six years, and only his second win in his last seven tries, long after he was completely forgotten in the talent rich heavyweight division.
  • Mike Mollo won the vacant Republic of Poland Heavyweight newer title, previously held by Artur Szpilka, by defeating the 18-0-1 Polish contender Krzysztof Zimnoch. Overlooked fact: Mollo was always a strong starter.
  • Mollo and Zimnoch wrestled and brawled in center ring at close quarters. Zimnoch was trying to hold Mollo with his left arm when Mollo came over the top with a right hook to the head which sent Zimnoch down to the canvas on his back as his legs went. After referee Lesnek Jankowiak brought Mollo to the neutral corner, he picked up the count. Zimnoch was counted out on his left knee, unable to rise at 2:08 of the first round.
