• Unbeaten super lightweight prospect Jonathan ALonzo got taken on a six round trip to hell by opponent Ricardo Maldonado. Alonzo was in top form and landing power counters, but Maldonado was also in top physical condition. Maldonado got hit with solid shots from time to time, but his chin was made of granite and he stayed in the house, landing single body shots here and there. It was the fight of the night on a five bout card at BB King Blues CLub & Grill promoted by DiBella Entertainment. Maldonado trained hard for the fight and tried to win. Alonzo was ssmply faster, and landed consistent power shots which punctured Maldonado's defense to earn this victory.
