Jock Malone drew with Young George Dixon by PTS in round 6 of 6

Both "made faces at one another through six rounds of milling.... Dixon entered the ring obviously scared of Malone's reputation, but willing to mix with the St. Paul boxer. Malone staged an indifferent bout, apparently not choosing to fight but to exhibit his cleverness as a boxer. During the last two rounds, after being stung by a few hard rights, Malone uncorked some of his old style and made Dixon step a little faster than he had in early rounds. The bout was scored under the Australian system, a new one for fans here, and one evidently that didn't take very well." (UP)

The Seattle Times felt that Malone had an edge, while Dixon pressed the action. Dixon did land a right hand in the first round that "almost had him on Queer Street."
