Booker was knocked down in the 1st round by a left to the head, followed by a right hand. Booker was sent reeling to the ropes twice before the 1st round ended. Booker recovered in the 2nd round, and began to out-box Moore, and knocked Moore down for a nine-count in the 4th round. The San Diego Union felt Booker was robbed, as they gave him seven out of the ten rounds.
