Moore got off to a slow start in the bout, for taking control of matters in the 5th round. Moore rocked Randolph in the 8th round, and was on top of him constantly in the 9th round. A few seconds before the end of the 9th round, Randolph collapsed in the center of the ring, and was helped to his corner. Randolph failed to recover with a minutes rest, and the referee stopped the bout.
