• Neubrandenburg Rematch of 2013 title bout won by Braehmer by decision. Gutknecht accepted five weeks notice as a late replacement challenger for Thomas Oosthuizen who was pulled out by his promoter Rodney Brown.
• Gutknecht would start each round fast firing jabs, and Braeehmer would come on strong in the final minute of each round as Gutknecht slowed. Braehmer cut around the left eye. Hard fought bout closer than scoring indicated.
• Southpaw champion Braehmer retains the regular World Light Heavyweight title over 12 rounds on points. Gutknecht incurred a point deduction in round ten for roughhousing tactics.
