  • Undefeated New Jersey heavyweight prospect Dan Pasciolla wins vacant USA New Jersey State Heavyweight title. Pasciolla, with nine bouts in previous 33 months, more active than ex-world cruiserweight champ Mayfield-no bouts in eight years.
  • A winner of only one of his last seven bouts over a 12 year stretch, getting knocked out five times. former International Boxing Federation World Cruiserweight champion Imamu Mayfield attempted a comeback at age 43 at heavyweight-nearly 35 pounds over his last fight weight. The experiment, eight years after his last bout, for the vacant New Jersey State Heavyweight title, did not work, losing a six round decision to veteran Dan Pasciolla, and presumably back into retirement for good after this performance. Mayfield, who was knocked out in the first round by Johnathon Banks at Madison Square Garden in his last previous ring appearance in February 2008, went the distance on this occasion against Pasciolla in a losing effort.
