  • Kalajdzic slipped to the canvas backwards in round one. Browne appeared in the video replay to hit his opponent after he slipped to the canvas. However in the post fight press conference, Browne claimed Kalajdzic was kneeling down, but his gloves had not touched the canvas and this was why he punched him. In round six, Kalajdzic knocked Browne onto his back in a corner for what appeared to be a count of nine when Browne got up, startled but not hurt. Both fighters claimed they had won in the post fight press conference. A rematch, according to promoter Lou DiBella, was possible in the future. The bout went off on NBC at eight rounds instead of ten because the Krzysztof Glowacki versus Steve Cunningham WBO World Cruiserweight title went the full 12 rounds immediately preceding Browne versus Kalajdzic.
