Jones fought a busy defensive bout, which nullified Miller's attack. In the 6th round, Jones landed a short right hook, that dropped Miller for a nine-count. Miller was down again in the 6th for no-count after a body shot along the ropes. Miller fought viciously in the last two rounds, but Jones escaped punishment, with the exception of one overhand right hand.
