• Molina was tiring from the eighth round on. Although Hurd had power, he conserved his punches and fought technically to win rounds on points. Hurd turned up the heat in round nine, and almost had Molina out then. Molina's arms were down when Hurd hit him with a volley of power shots and stopped him late in the tenth and final round. Molina needed a knockout to win in the final three rounds, but did not survive.
