Roman's conditioning was suspect, but his chin was good, and he remained mostly defensive, throwing counters on occasion. Roman won the tenth round, but the outcome of the bout had been decided by that point. The bout was a bit closer than the scoring indicated, with Roman winning three or four rounds-but not the bout.
