Daniel Pasciolla 246 lbs beat Dante Selby 223 lbs by UD in round 6 of 6

Referee: Ricky Gonzalez

  • Scoring: 59-54, 60-53, 60-53 for Dan Pasciolla
  • Nontitle bout for New Jersey State Heavyweight champion Dan Pasciolla.
  • Rematch of a four round decision won by Dante Selby in Pasciolla's 2013 debut. With this win, Pasciolla avenged his only loss.
  • Philadelphia heavyweight Dante Selby returned to the ring after two and a half years for this bout, but appeared well prepared.
  • Both fighters were in top condition, and fought all six rounds competitively without getting tired. Neither fighter was hurt.
  • The first round was even. In the second round, Pasciolla landed an overhand left hand power shot which sent Selby reeling backwards off the ropes in a corner, scored as a knockdown by referee Ricky Gonzalez as the ropes held Selby up. Selby, who bounced off the ropee, was not hurt.
  • The bout was much closer than the scorecards indicated. Selby's game plan of pouncing in and out, and landing singly placed body shots to try to break Pasciolla down, failed because Pasciolla was not hurt by them as Selby had no sustained attack plan. Pasciolla was more aggressive overall, and after the technical knockdown of Selby in the second round, Pasciolla had the momentum in the ring, and did enough to win.
