Kieran Hooks 157 lbs beat Miguel Martinez 158 lbs by UD in round 4 of 4
- Pro debut for Philadelphia middleweight Hooks, second bout on the untelevised portion of seven bout ESPN card.
- Martinez decked the taller debuting Hooks early in the first with a right hand. Hooks got up, and rallied to use his height and reach advantage to win rounds two, three and four to win the bout. Despite the knockdown for a 10-8 Martinez round in the first, Hooks was not in trouble at any time and the outcome of the bout was not in doubt at 39-37 on all scorecards. Martinez could not get back inside after his early success.
