SAN RAFAEL: This was a toe to toe middleweight brawl that actually could have went either way. Frankie Moynihan came out of retirement with a professional record of 3 wins 1 loss. Michael Lloyd was easily the quicker and prettier of the 2 ( actually used the name "Pretty Boy Lloyd" when being introduced to the crowd) and seemed to be somewhat unorthodox in his style. Moynihan had obvious sledge hammer power with both hands, rocking Lloyd several times with bad intention wrecking machine shots. Moynihan showed the ring rust that is typical for a boxer that has not competed as a professional in the sport for almost 10 years. Moynihan is a Police Officer in the East Bay and was doing this as a fundraiser for a local boys club, with his agreed upon contract going to them as a program donation. Moynihan's last fight before this contest was in November of 1988. Lloyd hung on for the decision and looked pretty good, but also seemed to be happy it was over. Both fighters 163 lbs. for this one.
