After a slow first round, Moore hurt Hogue with a right hand in the 2nd round. With his man reeling, Moore went for the finish, but was floored for no-count by a desperation left hook. Moore dominated the remainder of the fight, and after he got Hogue in trouble in the 5th round, the referee stopped the bout.
This was the first night outdoor main event in San Diego.
