- Accidental clash of heads opened up a cut over Langford's left eye in the third round. RUled accidental by referee Phil Edwards. The cut did not affect outcome of contest.

- Langford threw a left-right combination, but delayed in bringing his right hand back up rapidly. Khurtsidze landed a perfectly timed power left hook which sent Langford off the ropes and down to the canvas. Langford beat the count, but failed to walk forward upon receiving the referee's instructions to do so, automatically ending the contest.
