Sandy Saddler 131 lbs lost to Armand Savoie 134 lbs by DQ in round 3 of 10
- Date: 1952-03-03
- Location: Forum, Montreal, Quebec, Canada
- Referee: Tommy Sullivan
Saddler was disqualified for holding, hitting on the break, and hitting with the laces of his gloves. (Emile Gauthier, chairman of the Montreal Athletic Commission, climbed up on the ring apron at the end of the third round and instructed referee Tommy Sullivan to disqualify Saddler. Referee Sullivan had told the judges to take the second and third rounds from Saddler for his rough tactics. The Montreal Gazette reported that the abbreviated ending was not popular with the spectators: "The crowd of 8,334, which contributed to a gross gate of $25,374.50, sat for a moment in puzzled silence and then cut loose with a roar of disapproval.")
