Walker knocked Godwin down in the 6th and 8th round, both with right hands to the jaw. Walker was badly cut over his left eye in the 3rd round. The San Francisco Chronicle felt this was a poor fight, and had the bout 2-2-6 in rounds, and thus didn't have an issue with the decision.
