Pirrone knocked out Walker along the ropes, after hurting him with a right to the head, and then a finishing left hook to the jaw. Walker attempted to rise, but only reached a sitting position as he was counted out. Walker was cut over his left eye in an early round, and was cut over the right eye in the 6th round. Both eyes of Walker's were swelling at the time of the stoppage. Walker was knocked down for a nine-count in the 2nd round, but had won the 8th, 9th and 10th rounds, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.
