Jimmy Wilde 108 lbs beat Memphis Pal Moore 116 lbs by PTS in round 20 of 20
- Date: 1919-07-17
- Location: Olympia, Kensington, London, United Kingdom
- Referee: Eugene Corri
This was a great fight, filled to the brim with action. In general, Americans seem to have seen Moore as the winner and the British favored Wilde. According to the British, Moore did not "hit correctly," by which they meant that he tended to use the open glove, and this must have cost him points with the British referee. Wilde was in serious trouble in rounds 16 and 17 but came back with a fast finish.
