  • Harrison entered the fight as the WBC #4 super welterweight contender.
  • Harrison captured the WBC World Super Welterweight title in his second world title bout opportunity.
  • According to Compubox, Charlo landed 160 of 548 punches (29 percent), and Harrison connected on 128 of 377 (34 percent). [1]. Charlo was ahead on the overall punch count and power shots landed. Harrison was ahead on jabs thrown and landed.
  • FOX unofficial scorer Larry Hazzard had Charlo winning 117-111. [2]
  • Television commentators Ray Mancini, Lennox Lewis and Keith Thurman were among those at ringside who disagreed with the decision.
  • If Charlo, 31-0, who won the twelfth and final round as Harrison mostly held, had won one more round in the bout, he would have retained his World Boxing Council world title on a majority draw as two scorecards would have been 114-114 instead of 115-113.
