Leslie Wildcat Carter beat Vic Foley by PTS in round 10 of 10

  • Date: 1927-12-19
  • Location: Auditorium, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
  • Carter knocked Foley down for an eight-count, and won nearly every round, according to the Vancouver Sun.

"Foley's left jabs, which have poked a way to victory for him in innumerable wars, was not to be compared with the stiff jarring left jabs of the long limbed Negro. The white boy's usually effective hooks missed as often as they landed, and the 'Wildcat' lived up to his name throughout. He was decidedly a different young gent from the one who accepted a draw with Hector McDonald several weeks ago." Everett Daily Herald.
