Carter knocked Foley down for an eight-count, and won nearly every round, according to the Vancouver Sun.
"Foley's left jabs, which have poked a way to victory for him in innumerable wars, was not to be compared with the stiff jarring left jabs of the long limbed Negro. The white boy's usually effective hooks missed as often as they landed, and the 'Wildcat' lived up to his name throughout.
