- Fortuna was credited with a flash knockdown of Bogere after a right uppercut landed, and Fortuna seemed to push Bogere down, and one of Bogere's glove touched the canvas for a flash knockdown. One of Fortuna's knees apparently also touched the canvas at the same time, not scored as a knockdown. Despite the minor controversy, and ringside commentator Paul Malignaggi stating his belief it was not a knockdown, the three point margin of victory by Fortuna on all three cards meant the knockdown did not decide the outcome of the bout. Fortuna stated after the bout in the Showtime post fight interview he would fight Robert Easter Jr. again, Gervonta Davis, Vasyl Lomachenko, or anybody for a title.
